Meet Ashley

I am an Educational Therapist who works with students with various learning disabilities and other learning challenges at my office in West Los Angeles. In addition to my private practice, I consult with schools and lecture about reading difficulties and study skills.

Since learning disabilities can mask the presence of giftedness, my goal is to help students discover their strengths and true potential. I strive to help students understand the way their minds work, enabling them to realize their potential and experience success.

I look for the best in everyone, which is essential to my work with students whose difficulties can negatively impact self-esteem. Acceptance and respect lay at the foundation of my work with each and every student – this practice enables me to genuinely connect with students who come to see that I am more than just an educator, but rather a mentor who is truly invested in each student’s success and well-being.

In addition to my training in specific remediation techniques and interventions for students with reading difficulties, I hold a BA from UC Berkeley in Interdisciplinary Studies, a MA in Psychology from Pepperdine University, and I completed educational therapy coursework at CSUN and UCLA. I conducted a qualitative research study on clinicians’ preferred interventions for school-aged children with ADHD, and I am a member of the Association of Educational Therapists, the International Reading Association, and the Phi Beta Kappa Society. I am endorsed by the Association of Educational Therapists (AET) as an Educational Therapist/Professional (ET/P).
