Ash takes a holistic approach to learning, carefully assessing each student's unique needs and perspectives to provide tailored support. She advocates for inclusivity and promotes a safe and welcoming environment for individuals of all gender expressions and identities. Her work with students inspired her to seek certification at the University of California, Riverside, where she gained valuable knowledge and skills to better serve the needs of learners of all ages. She participates in ongoing professional development opportunities to further her knowledge in support of individuals struggling with mental health and substance use.

While she has a particular interest in working with students who face challenges, she is dedicated to supporting all learners, regardless of their background. With a firm belief in the power of "yet" and fostering a growth mindset, Ash is committed to empowering her students to reach their full potential.

Originally from Texas, Ash relocated to the Los Angeles area in 2011 with her partner and eldest child to enjoy more moderate temperatures. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, cheering on LAFC with her family of five, catching live music and taking her two dogs, Hush and Jude, on adventures.
