Natalie received her Master’s degree in Educational Therapy from CSUN and is a Board Certified Educational Therapist. She is a Wilson-trained provider who has a passion for improving self-confidence and finding ways to make the learning process fun for students who may be struggling in the classroom. She has a talent for finding ways to imbed student’s unique interests and strengths into their learning environment.

Natalie has always known she wanted to be an educator. During her high school years, she completed a pre-school internship program where she quickly discovered she wanted to work with unique learners and students in special education. She completed her undergraduate program through CSUN’s Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP), where she was able to complete her undergraduate degree and receive her Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Teaching Credential within the same four years. Natalie went straight into teaching at the seasoned age of 22, and spent five years working as a Resource Specialist in LAUSD. She loved her position as a case manager for students with IEP’s in the general education environment. She was able to advocate for her students with her knowledge of IEP’s and accommodations. She was able to use strategic learning methods and tools in a trusting and motivating environment. In this position, she saw growth in her student’s reading, writing, and math skills.

Throughout her teaching career, Natalie has learned that building rapport with students and their families as well as being able to connect with their social-emotional needs are essential to seeing academic progress. When Natalie is not teaching, she enjoys running and hiking.
